Japan Trip 2018
18th March - 26th March
March the 18th 2018, we will be returning to Japan to hand select some high quality koi for stock and special requests for clients.

We will be constantly updating this page with what we are purchasing each day, whilst we are out in Japan.
The shop will be open as normal, Dave will be available to help out whilst Barry and Scott are out in Japan.

Well we have been having some issues with internet connections in the hotel and have been struggling to get access to the blog page and website.
But finally we have managed to get online with an OK connection.
Facebook has been working okay for us via our mo biles so we have managed to keep up to date daily with our purchases.
If you have been following what we have bought on there then great, if not please click the link below and scroll through down the page to view the pictures and videos of what and where we have bought.
Not just the internet connection what has been a pain but the fact we have had so many images and videos to go through, and conversations with our clients in the evening, this has taken up a lot of time and has been very tiring.
A huge amount of fish has been purchased, from small Tosai to Very High Quality Jumbo Tosai, right the way up to Yonsai.

First blog post whilst being out in Japan.
Well we left Manchester Airport on the 18th, a day late due to the beast from the east coming in Saturday morning.
Arrived at Narita Airport at 9.05am where we then got the Narita Express Train into Tokyo Central before Boarding the Bullet Train into Niigata to reach Nagaoka.
It was around 2pm when we got there, both me and Barry where very tired, but that didn't stop us wanting to go and see a few breeders, we first went to visit Maruhiro and joined him for a coffee and to discuss what he had to offer.
We went in to the fish house to see ponds full of Nisai.
Whilst looking in this pond we could see some really lovely koi, so we had to have a better look.
He was dealing with another buyer at the time so we arranged to call back in an hour.
So whilst we was out we called to Marusei Koi Farm, where was plensently surprised by a pond FULL of Chisa Nisai, there was a huge selection of varietys in there aswell.
We knew there was a couple of hours at least to be spent in the pond so we have arranged to go back tomorrow first thing to start netting the pond and make some purchases.
Whilst there we had a look in his newest koi house, where we was overwhelemed with quality and quanitity.
It was a pleasure to see these koi in this lovely new koi house.
After going to Marusei Koi Farm we called back to Maruhiros where we spend a good hour and a half selecting out 9 stunning Nisai shown below in the pictures.

The weather has improved now, and the frost and snow seems to be all gone.
With just over a week to go until we fly out to Japan, were getting ready for the journey.
This time we are aiming to create more videos to share with you guys. We have even decided to try out some new equipment for capturing the wonderfull place on video. All these videos will be linked to our youtube page.

Well that was a surprise when opening up the shop this morning, we thought we would share with you the images taken this morning.
Less than 3 weeks to go until we head out to Japan.
The snow is still quite heavy out there aswell, lets hope its cleared before we arrive.
Here are a few images from one of our recent visits to Japan, for any new customers these are the type of images to expect on a daily basis during our visit.
Pictures with the breeders, and pictures of them at work. Images of the fish houses and there stock. Also plenty of scenery images to help bring your imagination to life.
All of them alongside the images of the fish we will be purchasing for stock and clients.
